BIO:
Herman James was born March 19, 1988 and is a native New Yorker out of Brooklyn. He took an interest in barbering due to a natural flair he had for cutting hair. After working rigorously at entry level positions, Herman was determined to figure out how to gain more of his time while earning a descent living. It then registered to him, that barbering is a very rewarding trade skill that would always be in high demand and a provided service that would allow him the kind of flexibility he was looking for.
At the age of 21, he enrolled at the American Barber Institute, in 2010, and completed his course receiving his barber certifications. He then went on to pass the New York State Barber's exam to receive his Master Barber's license. Herman also has his Covid-19 Barbicide certification that provides hair professionals with the proper knowledge to ensure public safety in connection to harmful viruses.
Herman has worked in at least one barbershop in every borough in NYC, and has now made the Upper Westside his stationary barbering home for all those who are interested in the Central Park Barber experience.
